Southampton target Jannik Vestergaard has been valued at €20m by Borussia Mönchengladbach
German news outlet Express have claimed that Borussia Mönchengladbach have told Southampton their price, as the Saints hold talks over a deal for the defender.
Southampton are expected to strengthen their depth at the back in the transfer windows after their struggles in the department last season.
Vestergaard has impressed for Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Bundesliga over the past two years, following his switch from fellow German side Werder Bremen.
Mark Hughes is now hoping to tempt him into a move to England, with a chance to test himself in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old has been capped 15 times by his country and made almost 200 appearances in the Bundesliga.
Jack Stephens, Maya Yoshida, Jan Bednarek and Wesley Hoedt are Southampton’s current central defensive options.
