Southampton are reportedly interested in a summer deal for Atalanta forward Andrea Petagna.
The Italian striker is set to be a wanted man ahead of the 2018/19 campaign and according to claims from TMW, a source in Italy, Southampton have expressed an interest in signing him.
It’s believed by TMW that if Petagna is to be lured away from Gian Piero Gasperini’s side, a lowly fee worth in the region of £9 million will be required.
However, Southampton are not alone in their apparent interest in signing the forward. Newly-promoted Wolves have also been tipped to move for Petagna this summer.

Petagna didn’t enjoy the most productive season in Serie A last term, netting four goals and assisting five, but has widely been tipped as a hugely promising player.
The towering striker has featured on one occasion for the Italian national team and was a prominent feature in his country’s Under-21 side.
With Southampton’s goalscoring woes well-documented last season, it seems the club could be looking to recruit yet another striker to attempt to remedy their previous shortcomings.
