Rangers are looking to re-sign Steven Davis from Southampton this summer, according to claims from Sky Sports.
The Northern Ireland captain joined Saints after leaving Ibrox in 2012 for a fee believed to be in the region of £700,000 and it seems the Scottish giants want to bring Davis back to the club.
It was a difficult campaign for the 33-year-old at Southampton last term, as he battled with several injury lay-offs and also stiff competition for places in the team’s midfield areas.

Davis remains the club’s official captain but with first-team football set to be limited following the arrival of Stuart Armstrong from Celtic, a return to Scotland could be on the cards.
Steven Gerrard is understood to be keen on adding a mix of experience and youth to his new-look Rangers side this summer, and it’s believed that Davis is among those who have been eyed.
The Saints midfielder’s contract at St Mary’s Stadium expires in the summer of 2019, and the club could opt to cash in on the veteran in the coming weeks.
