Southampton have agreed personal terms with target Mohamed Elyounoussi, according to Norweigan outlet VG.
The report claims that Southampton have agreed a deal with the player, who will now complete a medical on Thursday before being officially unveiled as a Saints player.
It was reported on Wednesday that Basel have accepted an offer in the region of £16m from Southampton for the winger.
Bundesliga side Wolfsburg were also said to be keen, but the player has opted for a move to the Premier League.
Elyounoussi is set to become Southampton’s second signing of the summer, after Stuart Armstrong was unveiled on Tuesday – joining from Celtic for £7m.
The Norweigan international will become the most expensive player in the history of his country – at £16m.
