Southampton have had a bid accepted by FC Basel for Mohamed Elyounoussi, according to claims from Norway.
The Saints have been scouting Elyounoussi throughout the last two seasons and have been heavily linked with a swoop for the player in recent times.
It’s believed by Norwegian news outlet VG that Basel have accepted a bid worth between €18 and €20 million for Elyounoussi.

Wolfsburg are said to have also had a proposal accepted by Basel for Elyounoussi, but it’s believed by VG that the player’s entourage are heading to London for talks with officials from Southampton.
It’s also stated that a deal for Elyounoussi could be completed before the end of the week, as Southampton look to press ahead with their summer business.
Saints confirmed the arrival of Stuart Armstrong from Celtic on Tuesday and if the claims from Elyounoussi’s native Norway are to be believed, the tricky winger is set to be the next arrival.
