Southampton are interested in a deal for Stoke City defender Geoff Cameron this summer.
According to The Stoke Sentinel, Southampton manager Mark Hughes is keen on bringing Cameron to St. Mary’s.
Hughes managed Cameron at Stoke during his years there, turning the defender into a consistent Premier League performer.
Following Stoke’s relegation to the Championship this summer, a number of clubs are said to be eyeing a move for Cameron.

The report claims that Cameron has a release clause in his Stoke contract, which will make it easier for Southampton if they are to go ahead with pursuing the defender.
It is claimed to be in excess of £5m for the 32-year-old, although no exact price is given.
Cameron has made almost 200 appearances for Stoke since joining the club in 2012 and has made 168 Premier League appearances.
Hughes is looking to strengthen his side this summer but is yet to make an addition to his squad.
