After holding talks with new Gunners boss Unai Emery in recent times, the midfielder has come to the decision that he will leave the Emirates and seek pastures new ahead of next season.
A whole host of Premier League sides have been linked with moves for Wilshere and on Monday night, Southampton were claimed to have joined the race for his signature.

Wilshere proved his fitness throughout the 2017/18 campaign and impressed for Arsenal. However, his displays were not enough to earn him a place in England’s 23-man squad for the ongoing World Cup.
Southampton are already well stocked with central midfielders but after losing out on James Maddison to Leicester City – a deal which is set to be confirmed imminently – their attention has seemingly turned to Wilshere.
The midfielder is on the lookout for first-team football at his next club and with his contract at Arsenal expiring at the end of this month, he will be available on a free transfer.
