Parma will not be able to match Southampton’s asking price for forward Manolo Gabbiadini.
The Italian saw his chances limited in on the south coast this season, making just eleven starts.
Despite being out of sorts, the 26-year-old still managed to score Southampton’s most important goal of the season – scrambling home a corner against Swansea to preserve the Saints’ Premier League status for another year.

As a semi-valuable asset still, Southampton seem ready to say goodbye to the play-maker this transfer window. With a fee of £11.5 million however, not everyone can reach such a figure.
One club linked to Gabbiadini had been Serie A outfit Parma, but Calcio Mercato report the former Napoli player will have to seek a return to his homeland elsewhere.
With a limited budget, Parma are unable to spend such a proportion of their pot on one player.
Despite this, Lazio were today reported as opening talks with Southampton for the front-man.
