Southampton defender Will Wood has joined Accrington Stanley on a permanent deal.
According to BBC Sport, Wood has signed a one year deal with Accrington and will join the club upon the expiry of his Southampton contract.
Wood’s deal with the Saints expires at the end of next month, after failing to secure a new contract with the Premier League outfit.
The 21-year-old was never able to push on into the senior squad during his time in the South Coast, leading to his exit from the club.
The defender will now be looking to make an impact at Accrington as he aims to make it at a professional level.
