Southampton and Leicester City are both said to be interested in Young Boys striker Roger Assale.

A report from the Daily Mail claims both sides are keeping tabs on the 24-year-old, who is being linked with a summer exit from the Swiss side.

Assale has earned plenty of plaudits from not only the Premier League duo, but clubs in and around Europe for his skill and pace.

The forward, who is valued at £12 million by his current club, is said to be ready to make the next move in his career.

From Southampton’s point of view, a move for Assale may well depend on what division they’re playing next season.

With relegation to the Championship remaining a serious possibility, you can imagine transfer talks are being placed on hold until for the time being.

Whatever division they’re playing next season, Southampton will be desperate to add more goals to their team.
