Southampton club captain Steven Davis has called for togetherness as the club enter a crucial period.
Davis, as quoted by the Mirror, addressed the media following his side’s 1-0 win away at Fulham in the FA Cup on Saturday and spoke about how the fans are currently responding to Saints boss Mauricio Pellegrino.
It’s important we all stick together. We’re not in a position any of us want to be in, fans, players and staff alike.
The under-fire Argentine boss has been the subject of much criticism of late and Saints fans directed plenty of vitriol towards him, despite the win at Fulham.
His decision to withdraw Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg for Mario Lemina late on caused quite the stir among the travelling Saints faithful, further contributing to the scrutiny which surrounds Pellegrino.

Davis, though, wants to see the whole club pulling together to try and help them out of their current relegation battle.
The most important thing is we’re all fighting together to move forward in the right direction. Stuff like that doesn’t really help.
We need the fans more than ever at this point, whenever you’re struggling. To be fair, I thought they were in good voice today as well — and they came here in good numbers.
Saints sit in 17th place on the Premier League table at just over the halfway stage of the season and know that they have to pick up points sooner rather than later.
Next up for them is Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday.
