Southampton keen on Willian Jose

Southampton have struggled to find the net on several occasions this season, and that has led to plenty of concerns about their lack of firepower.

The signing of Manolo Gabbiadini has undoubtedly helped them in their pursuit of finding the goal scoring touch, with the Italian scoring freely since his move from Napoli in January.

Charlie Austin was also in good form prior to his injury but has been out of contention since December, while Jay Rodriguez and Shane Long have failed to really fill either’s respective boots.

So, this has led to further speculation surrounding Saints’ activity ahead of the summer transfer window, and the Mirror reckon Claude Puel is keen to sign Real Sociedad striker Willian Jose this summer.

Jose has been in good form this season and has hit the net nine times for Sociedad, leading to interest from clubs such as Everton, Newcastle and Saints ahead of the summer window.
