Celtic boss Neil Lennon looks set to be active in the January transfer window after the Hoops fell to a 4-2 defeat to AC Milan on Thursday evening – their third loss in a row for the first time in 13 years.
Lennon selected goalkeeper Vasilis Barkas for the San Siro clash but he failed to impress, ending with a WhoScored rating of just 4.95/10.
This led to Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph weighing in with his views on the Greek summer signing and suggesting that Celtic would be looking for a ‘keeper in the New Year.

To us, we believe Joseph’s update could be of interest to Southampton. Fraser Forster has been the only shot-stopper linked with a move to Celtic, so the Saints should be braced for an approach from the Hoops.
If the deal is right and the Saints can acquire adequate cover, allowing Forster to return to Glasgow for a fifth time could be best for all involved. It would allow the 32-year-old to gain some much-needed game time and it would also get a big earner off the books at St Mary’s.
It remains to be seen if Celtic will move for the Englishman, but we feel the Saints should be prepared for the Hoops to come calling.
