Southampton have been linked with a move for Jarrod Bowen in recent months, but Hull City appear to be working hard to keep hold of their talisman.
Bowen netted 22 goals in the Championship last season and has picked up where he left off this term, emerging once again as one of the division’s most exciting players.
As such, he could be a man in demand when the January transfer window rolls around, and according to a report from Hull Live, the Tigers have tabled a contract offer to their star man.
Bowen has found the back of the net eight times from his 14 Championship outings so far, and manager Grant McCann is desperate to retain his services for the rest of the season.

Bowen is definitely good enough to play in the Premier League, but it’s understandable that Hull are looking to keep hold of him.
He is by far and away their best player, and it was something of a surprise to see the Tigers field no genuine offers from elsewhere in the summer.
Saints have a fair few wingers in the squad, with Moussa Djenepo, Sofiane Boufal and Nathan Redmond all high-quality options. Josh Sims, too, will be available by the turn of the year.
However, a left-footed, natural right-sided winger is not at Ralph Hasenhuttl’s disposal, and an argument can certainly be made to suggest that Bowen would add a different dimension to Southampton’s attack.
While he would improve the squad, it’s hard to see Saints moving for the Hull man, especially considering the team’s more prominent issues at the back.
