Southampton are keen on signing Belgian defender Jordan Lukaku, according to Voetbalkrant.
The report says that Southampton are interested in Lukaku, but the fee may be an issue. This is because Lazio are also eager to sign the youngster and are willing to match the fee Oostende are asking for, but Southampton are not at this moment.
The fee is thought to be around £5m. A fee that Southampton appear unwilling to adhere to at present.

This means that a move to Southampton is currently unlikely, despite Lukaku preferring a move to the Premier League over a switch to the Serie A with Lazio.
He may have had advice from his brother, Romelu, who plays for Everton in the Premier League. The Everton forward has been playing in England for a number of years and knows the league very well.
Jordan Lukaku, however, has never played outside of Belgium. He has played for Anderlecht and Oostende, as well as for the Belgium national team on five occasions.
It is unknown whether Southampton will re-enter the race for the 21-year-old left-back.
