According to Dutch sources (fr12) Southampton look set to rekindle their interest in Feyenoord midfielder, Tonny Vilhena yet again, with the January transfer window in mind for the midfielder.

Ronald Koeman tried to bring in the young Dutch midfielder last season, during the January transfer window, but it was reported that the two clubs could not come to an agreement on a £5 million price tag for Vilhena.
However, the 20-year old has got off to a very good start in his campaign with Koeman’s old club, Feyenoord; scoring 3 goals from midfield in just 9 games for de Kuip, as well as adding two assists to his name.
Italian club Sampdoria came in for Vilhena last summer, however he chose to remain with Feyenoord due to family reasons. However, the promising youngster declined Feyenoord’s offer of a new contract, choosing to play out the season ahead.
It is clear that Koeman has an admiration of the young midfielder whom he gave his senior debut to, and it seems as though he will try to raid his old club again for their players, having already signed Graziano Pelle and Jordy Clasie from the Dutch team.

Whether Vilhena is needed, however, remains to be seen as with the prospect of the arrival of yet another central midfielder; we would have 7 to choose from.
The question is for Koeman and Southampton is; do we need yet another young midfielder?
