A number of Southampton fans have been reacting to a question posed by former England forward Darren Bent on talkSPORT as to whether Ralph Hasenhuttl should be a manager under pressure, which was shared by reporter Alex Crook on Twitter.
.@DarrenBent on @talksport asking if Ralph Hasenhuttl should be under pressure. I've suggested the buck stops with the owners. Let us know your thoughts #SaintsFC fans 08717 223344

Hasenhuttl’s side have endured a dismal run of form over the last few weeks which has seen them drop alarmingly from the top of the Premier League table at one stage to 13th now. The Saints suffered a 2-1 defeat at Wolves on Sunday, despite taking the lead through a fine finish from Danny Ings. That means they have now lost six successive league matches for the first time in their history.
The Saints’ current predicament is not being helped by the squad being ravaged by injury issues, with Kyle Walker-Peters becoming the latest key player to suffer a setback with a hamstring injury. Also, some controversial VAR decisions did not go their way against Wolves, which prompted fury from Hasenhuttl after the game.
There has also been a lack of investment from those in charge of the club, with Southampton failing to bring in any defensive cover in the winter window. However, Hasenhuttl could still come under pressure following an awful run of form which even included another 9-0 battering, this time against Manchester United.
Southampton fans react to questioning of Hasenhuttl’s future
Bent posed the question over whether Hasenhuttl should be under pressure on talkSPORT, and lot of Southampton fans leapt to the defence of the Austrian and believe he still deserves their backing. However, one or two have begun to question whether he is the right man going forward.
We have had much worse squads yet never lost 6 in a row so you have to ask some questions, but he has been dealt a tough hand lately. I think the players need to take responsibility as well. Heads drop far too quickly, definite lack of leaders in the squad.

6 defeats looks bad.
But for 3 of them, we had a threadbare squad & for 2 ( Villa/ Wolves) we played very well & Var robbed US.
Newcastle defeat is the only concern IMO.
He’s also beaten Arsenal/ Wolves in cup so not a true reflection IMO

No he shouldn’t, he’s still the best option for Saints. If he goes we’ll end up with another mediocre manager who has the same mediocre squad of players to work with, under the same mediocre board that don’t invest in the team. Changing manager won’t solve our problems.

There are a lot of factors behind our current results. RH has done far more good than bad, but nobody’s perfect. Our best is excellent, but the lows are really low! He has a long term plan we need to stay with though.

Ralph's the man. Working with limited resources to add to a squad that has no strength in depth. What other manager is going to come and play the football Ralph does with the circumstances he finds himself under. We're lucky to have him, but the owners are even luckier!#saintsfc

He’s dealing with the fallout of 3 years of awful investment and not actually having his own money to spend.
Yes things are rough but the problems are bigger than him. No idea who could come in with nothing to spend and do any better really.

He’s under pressure because every manager has found out his plan A earlier in the season and we’ve got to the point where he’s searching for a plan B and we’re struggling to find it

I’m with him usually. I’ve loved the football over the last year. But how much of that because no crowd at SMS? We had a great run playing on a training ground for the last year. Worries me massively when fans rock up again. Would say his days could be numbered sadly ☹️
