James Ward-Prowse put in a man of the match display against Aston Villa last weekend.
On his 26th birthday, the midfielder netted two first half free kicks and provided the assist for Jannik Vestergaard’s opener. The Saints eventually ran out 4-3 winners at Villa Park, and Ward-Prowse’s display didn’t go unnoticed.
The midfielder, who recorded a WhoScored man of the match rating of 9.22, made EA Sports’ latest Ultimate Team of the Week. The popular game mode sees 23 players receive in-game boosts each week following impressive real-life performances.
Ward-Prowse was one of four Premier League inclusions in the latest squad, with Southampton sharing Ward-Prowse’s place in the EA team on Twitter.
These Saints fans responded to the club’s post, with many showcasing the midfielder in their respective teams.
