Southampton are one of a number of Premier League sides reportedly keeping an eye on Reading defender Liam Moore.
Tha’s according to TeamTalk, who claim that Crystal Palace, Leicester City, Newcastle United, West Ham and Wolves are also monitoring the 27-year-old.
Moore, Reading’s captain, has featured in every minute of Championship action so far this season.
The defender has played a key role in The Royals’ flying start, with Veljko Paunovic’s side top of the division on 19 points, conceding just one league goal in 630 minutes.

Moore can play as a centre-back and as a right-back, so would provide Ralph Hasenhuttl with versatility at the back, should he make the switch to St Mary’s.
However, Moore is also under contract at the Madejski Stadium until 2023, and with Reading enjoying a solid start to the campaign, they are certainly in the driver’s seat when it comes to the player’s possible exit.
What also doesn’t help the Saints is how many teams are thought to be keen on the defender’s services.
A bidding war may come to fruition should all six teams firm up their interest, so we feel it could be best for Southampton to leave a potential deal alone.
Hasenhuttl has Jannik Vestergaard, Jan Bednarek, Jack Stephens and new signing Mohammed Salisu in his central defensive ranks, which leaves the club fairly well stocked in that department already.
