Southampton are reportedly showing an interest in Hellas Verona goalkeeper Marco Silvestri ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to Tutto Mercato Web, Southampton, Norwich and Everton are all keen on a deal for Silvestri this summer.
The report claims that Silvestri has even been watched by Italy manager Roberto Mancini this season with a view to a senior international call-up.

Silvestri could be a solid addition to Southampton’s squad next season if Angus Gunn and Fraser Forster are allowed to leave. If Forster returns to Celtic again and then Gunn is able to secure a move elsewhere, Silvestri could be a good replacement.
Gunn has struggled to perform in the Premier League this season, with a lowly WhoScored rating of 6.19 in his 10 appearances. Silvestri, meanwhile, has been excellent in the Serie A and has a rating of 6.87 – keeping four clean sheets in his last 10 games.
The Italian also has prior experience of English football with Leeds, albeit in the Championship. Therefore, he could take less time to settle in England due to his previous spell in the second tier, potentially making him a better option than other goalkeepers from abroad who may need an adaptation period.
Southampton could be bringing in a player who has excelled in the Serie A to replace a player who has not been able to perform in the Premier League this season.
