Celtic assistant manager John Kenedy claims that his club want to sign Fraser Forster permanently in the summe.
Kenedy says that if a deal can be done, Celtic would want to sign the goalkeeper permanently. He claims that Forster has been ‘terrific’ this season, having joined the Scottish giants on loan for the season from Southampton.
Speaking to the Scottish Daily Mail, as transcribed by the Sunday Post, Kenedy said:
If there is a deal to be done, the club can produce something and a deal between Southampton and Fraser is possible, then I’m pretty sure we would try to do it.
If Fraser became available we would want him. He has been terrific and made big saves at the big moments.
Speaking to him in-house, it’s no secret he loves being here.
He enjoys the atmosphere, loves the club and what the fans bring.

Going by Kenedy’s comments, Celtic are interested in signing Forster and the player himself enjoys being at the Scottish club.
If Southampton have no plan to use Forster next season, then allowing him to join Celtic could be best for all parties involved.
Ralph Hasenhuttl already has Alex McCarthy and Angus Gunn at the club, so it will be interesting to see whether he has any use for Forster next season.
If not, Celtic could be the ideal club to sign him permanently, given that they are keen on keeping him and that he is happy to be there.
In theory, Southampton could get rid of a player they have little use for, whilst Celtic can keep a key player in their squad, whilst Forster gets to play regular football.
If Forster stayed at Southampton and became the third choice behind McCarthy and Gunn, he could find himself not even making the bench in the Premier League and if that’s the case, it seems logical for Saints to cash in and sell the former England international to the Scottish champions.
