Southampton’s Kevin Danso is likely to cut short his time at the club and seek a new challenge elsewhere, according to Football Insider.
The defender joined the Saints on the summer transfer deadline day, but has struggled for first-team football so far this season, only making three starts and appearing off the bench three times as well, as per Whoscored.
Football Insider report that sources tell them that the Saints are ready to bring to an end Danso’s loan deal, with a number of clubs in France and Germany interested in his services.
The Austrian has been forced to play right-back a lot so far this season, being unable to force his way into the first-team at centre-back.

Letting Danso leave the club looks to be the best option for both parties, especially with the player lacking game-time at Southampton.
The arrival of Kyle Walker-Peters almost eliminates the opportunity to play right-back for Danso, which could lead to him being forced out of the first-team entirely.
It does seem strange that Danso was never really handed an opportunity to play at his favoured postition of centre-back for Southampton, with Danso only playing 3 games in his favoured position, with only one being in the league. This may be a big reason he has failed to make a big impact at the club.
However, his sending off against Manchester United may have done a lot to damage his reputation at the club, after the Austrian was handed a straight red for a challenge on Scott McTominay.
Ralph Hasenhuttl has previously admitted that Danso has struggled to adapt to the Premier League, especially the pace of the division compared to the German Bundesliga.
Therefore, Southampton letting the player go looks to be the best move for both parties, with Danso seemingly keen to end his stay at St Mary’s.
