Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has showered praise on midfielder James Ward-Prowse.
The Englishman was the only player to keep his place following the Premier League victory over Tottenham Hotspur for the third-round round clash with Huddersfield Town.

The midfielder captained the young side to a 2-0 victory and Hasenhuttl was clearly pleased with him.
As quoted on the official club website, he said:
Ward-Prowse played once again but he’s a machine. He can play all the time he’s unbelievable.
He in the last week is always the guy who runs the most, fighting for everything and a real captain today on the pitch.
I’m happy that when I asked him if he can play, he said yes.

Ward-Prowse has featured in every single Southampton league match so far this season, so Hasenhuttl is right – he is a machine.
Even through the busy festive fixture schedule, Ward-Prowse was the one constant.
He also made three Carabao Cup appearances and has now added the FA Cup to his ever-growing list of matches this season. His work rate and stamina levels is exemplary and shows just how much desire he has to play for the club.
