Goalkeeper Fraser Forster is reportedly frustrated that Southampton have inflated their demands to let him go to Celtic on a permanent deal, according to former Scottish international Alan Hutton.

Forster has been superb since moving to Celtic on loan, helping the Hoops claim the Scottish League Cup.
Speaking to Football Insider, Hutton revealed that he thinks that the goalkeeper is disappointed that Southampton have reportedly raised their asking price to £25 million after the goalkeeper’s good performances.
Hutton said:
There’s no way Celtic would be paying £25million for a goalkeeper.
He’s been amazing for them, he’s been outstanding and this is the thing that frustrates me with loans – if you bring in a player and he does well for your team, he wasn’t playing at his club and you want to buy him, the price rockets.
It must be frustrating for players and clubs. Obviously that player’s come in and done well, Forster’s come in to Celtic, done excellent and all of a sudden the price has shot up.
It’s a shame for him, it’s a shame for the player because he obviously loves playing there and then for a move not to happen, it can be really disappointing.

Southampton will be looking to cash in for Forster, especially with him becoming a key man at Celtic.
However, asking for £25 million won’t make any deal happen.
Southampton would have to lower their asking price to make sure that Celtic can afford a deal, unless they can find someone else interested in him.
