According to a report from Football Insider, Leeds United have entered the race to sign Che Adams from Southampton.
The 23-year-old has not started a game for Saints since September, with Ralph Hasenhuttl preferring Danny Ings, Michael Obafemi and Shane Long of late.
Having netted 22 goals in the Championship for Birmingham City last season, plenty was expected of Adams. However, he has found regular game time hard to come by, with the manager plumping for a partnership of Ings and Long.
As a consequence of the limited minutes, the ex-Sheffield United youngster is being lined up for a return to the second tier, with Leeds said to be keen on strengthening their attacking options with his arrival in the New Year.

Meanwhile, it is claimed by Football Insider that Nottingham Forest have cemented their interest by making a loan offer for Adams.

Ings and Long may be working well as a partnership, but offloading Adams so soon after he was signed would be a bizarre move.
He needs regular game time, but just why Hasenhuttl isn’t providing him with this at Southampton is unclear.
Adams would benefit from getting his name on the score sheet having failed to net so far this season, but if he can do this in a Saints shirt, it will be a huge weight off his shoulders.
