Southampton are prepared to give Ralph Hasenhuttl more time to turn the club’s fortunes around, according to a report from The Daily Mail.
Saints find themselves in the precarious position of 18th ahead of their crunch clash against Aston Villa at the weekend, with their opponents level on points and above them in the table only by goal difference.
Following back-to-back defeats to Newcastle United and West Ham United, concerns surfaced once again regarding Hasenhuttl’s position at St Mary’s.
However, it is reported that he retains the full support of the club’s hierarchy, with the January transfer window fast approaching.

Hasenhuttl has done a poor job this season, but his squad hardly provides a great deal of inspiration.
Ultimately, other managers are getting more from worse groups of players. However, it is difficult to see who would come in and immediately improve things at St Mary’s.
Saints need to make a decision and stick with it: back Hasenhuttl in the January market and continue to put their faith in him or wield the axe as soon as possible.
By the looks of things, they will be choosing the former option, and only time will tell with regards to whether or not it is the correct move.
