Southampton welcome fellow strugglers Norwich City to the south coast this Wednesday in what is another key fixture in both teams’ bids to save their Premier League status.
Saints go into the game on the back of a 2-1 win over bottom club Watford, their first home win of the 2019/20 season.
It wasn’t their best performance, but the side will take great confidence from the result, and will look to make it back-to-back home wins against Norwich. Three points could take them out of the relegation zone.

The Canaries will hope to replicate their performance against Arsenal, as they also aim to lift themselves out of the relegation zone.
Coming into the game after an impressive performance, and a good 2-2 draw with the Gunners, Norwich will be confident that they can leave Southampton with three points come Wednesday evening.
In terms of team news, Sofiane Boufal is facing a race against time to be fit after his toe injury worsened. Stuart Armstrong remains sidelined with a hamstring problem.

For the visitors, Alex Tettey could be back in contention, while the game comes too soon for Norwich pair Grant Hanley and Josip Drmic.

With both teams looking to win to climb the table, you can expect a hotly-contested game, but with that, it may be a cagey affair with few chances, and few goals.
With the home crowd behind them and the confidence of the previous win in mind, I feel that the Saints will have just about enough to get over the line against the Canaries. I’ll go with a 2-1 home win for Southampton.
