Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has provided an update on when he expects to return to action.
The Frenchman suffered a nasty arm injury in the defeat to Brighton and hove Albion in early October. Paolo Gazzaniga has been deputising in Lloris’ absence and has put in some decent performances.

Lloris was present to witness France beat Moldova to confirm their place at Euro 2020. As quoted on TeamTalk, he said:
Everything is well. There can always be hazards, but my goal is to be ready for January.
Whether it’s the beginning, the middle or the end, I don’t know. In any case, I’ll take time to make sure I’m well-healed and that I can come back in top form.
This could impact Southampton because Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side host Tottenham on New Year’s Day.

It’s unlikely that Lloris will be rushed back into action, which means he’s also likely to miss the match at the St Mary’s.
However, there is a chance that he could accelerate his recovery and be fit for the first match of 2020.
Gazzaniga will be eager to play against his former employers but when Lloris is back, the deputy shot-stopper will return to the bench.
