Southampton currently linger in the bottom three of the Premier League and are in a relegation fight this season.
The club is suffering on and off the pitch this season and manager Ralph Hasenhuttl is eyeing some new recruitments in the January transfer window.
He recently admitted that his team was simply “not good enough” and it is understood that he is eyeing up some new ‘world-class’ defenders when the transfer window opens.
These Southampton fans are struggling to believe it will happen…
Twitter: @Saints1885_com Let’s be honest, the papers are quoting ‘top quality’ but what that actually means is players costi… https://t.co/v8UlhasJGN (@KavMike)

Twitter: @Saints1885_com We will see. Could be more broken promises. A top CB in Jan will probably cost over 25m and I can’t see that happening (@tomforder69)

The Saints definitely need to invest in some new players but whether they will be able to attract ‘top quality’ players could be a concern.
The club are not the most attractive at the moment, suffering extremely heavy defeats and playing unattractive football.
If Hasenhuttl can somehow turn around the club’s form until Christmas then signing players would become a lot easier.
