Southampton are in a poor run of form and this has worried players, fans and pundits.
The Saints fell to another defeat at the St Mary’s against Everton last Saturday and currently sit in the bottom three in the Premier League table.

Manager Ralph Hasenhuttl is struggling to motivate his side and get them back to winning ways.
As quoted on FourFourTwo, he said after the Everton defeat:
I think it’s not a big topic that we didn’t win a game at home because the last games away we also didn’t win. We must take a good result.
If it’s tight – like it was against Man City– and we still don’t get something then it means we’re not good enough in the moment. Why we’re not good enough, this answer is to find.
We do a few things good but in a few things when we try this we’re not good enough and this is the problem.
Is Hasenhuttl right?

Openly admitting that Southampton aren’t good enough maybe isn’t the best thing to do at the moment.
Although his assessment is probably correct, if the players see and hear comments like that then it will massively demotivate them for the remainder of the season.
The one positive from his reaction is that he is seeking answers to the poor run of form and everyone will be hoping he finds it before it’s too late.
