Ralph Hasenhuttl has revealed that he is only looking for a response from his players on the pitch, not through mere words.
The Saints fell to a 9-0 defeat to Leicester City at the St Mary’s Stadium on Friday evening.
The result left many Southampton fans angry, upset and confused, with many calling for Hasenhuttl to be sacked, whilst others backing the boss.
As quoted on the club’s official Twitter account, Hasenhuttl said:
After this, no more talking from us. No more messages. The time for that is over. Our only focus is working towards Manchester City. This is where we must direct our entire energy, this is what we owe to our fans.
These fans were pleased with his reaction…

Hasenhuttl is spot on. The time for talking and sending messages of apology is now over. It’s time for the players to do the talking on the pitch. Send the messages through performances and results.
The fans deserve to see fight, determination and grit from the players and they’ll have the chance to do just that against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup tomorrow.
Admittedly, it is probably the hardest fixture of the season as City are ruthless at the Etihad, but a passionate display will definitely be a step in the right direction.
