Mohamed Elyounoussi has made a good start to life at Celtic.
The winger joined Southampton last year in a £16 million deal from Basel but failed to contribute with a single goal or assist during his maiden season.
Ralph Hasenhuttl decided against including Elyounoussi in his plans for the current campaign, with Nathan Redmond, Moussa Djenepo and Sofiane Boufal preferred.
However, the Norway international has taken the move in his stride and impressed in his first six competitive fixtures for Celtic, netting three goals and assisting on three other occasions.
Elyounoussi scored twice as Neil Lennon’s side demolished Ross County at the weekend in a 6-0 win.

It’s safe to say that these Hoops fans are liking what they’re seeing from their new loan star…

Read Southampton’s verdict
It’s good to see Elyounoussi flourishing in Scotland; it gives Saints a better chance of recouping some of the £16 million that was spent on his signature last year.
He was hugely impressive for Basel and has shown a similar level of quality for Celtic. It didn’t work out for him at Southampton, but it seems he does still have something to give, particularly in European football.
Elyounoussi is a player who is at his best when he has the full backing of a manager, his club’s supporters, and his teammates. He appears to have found that at Parkhead.
