Nuno Espirito Santo has been heaping praise on Southampton ahead of Wolves’ clash against Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men today.
Speaking about the challenge that awaits his side at Molineux, as quoted by the club’s official website, the Portuguese tactician was quick to point out that Saints are a ‘very good team’.
Wolves sit in 11th place on the Premier League table after winning back-to-back games for the first time this season.
Southampton are only three points below this weekend’s counterparts, but find themselves in 17th place and out of the relegation zone only because they have scored twice more than Everton.
Hasenhuttl will be desperate to ensure that Saints do not lose for the fourth consecutive Premier League match following defeats to Bournemouth, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.

Nuno was complimentary about Southampton, though, and outlined the qualities that he expects to see from them at Molineux. He said:
It’s going to be a big, big challenge for us. They’re a very good team.
Their start of the competition was not so good, but it’s a very good team with very good players and a good manager.
They have a good idea there, are very consistent and have speed.

Managers are always laying on the charm offensive about their opponents ahead of fixtures, and these comments are no different.
Saints have been anything but consistent this season, and we’ve hardly played at any pace. Aside from a couple of solid performances, it’s been dismal so far.
Wolves and their attacking players will be licking their lips at the prospect of running at this Southampton back-line, which has surrendered nine goals in the past three games.
Saints will need to be very good, as Nuno describes them, if they are to come away from Molineux with anything to show for their efforts.
