Southampton will be hoping to get back to winning ways following three straight league defeats when they travel to Wolves this Saturday.
Saints were comfortably dispatched by Chelsea a fortnight ago which followed further disappointing losses against 10-man Spurs and Bournemouth at home.
However, Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side have looked better away from home this season, with all four of their victories in all competitions coming away from St Mary’s.
Wolves had a poor start to the campaign but picked up before the international break with a 2-0 win against Watford, an impressive 1-0 victory at Besiktas before stunning Manchester City 2-0 at the Etihad.
This team selection may be even tougher than usual, as it isn’t yet clear which of the manager’s many systems he will opt with, and whether he is set to ring the changes.
Out of all the recent defeats for Saints, they looked most comfortable playing Spurs, despite failing to break them down, which was the only game that a back five was played.
This makes me think that he could revert to that system, especially as it seems to suit our rather attacking full-backs which is another position that has seen lots of rotation.
Hasenhuttl confirmed in his pre-match press conference that Moussa Djenepo and Cedric Soares remain absent for this match.
After giving it our best shot, here is how we predict the Southampton team to line up:
