Southampton have confirmed that Director of Football Operations Ross Wilson has left the club to join Rangers.
The club released a statement on Monday morning to confirm his departure, bringing an end to his spell at St Mary’s after joining back in 2015.
It’s a move that has been expected for some time, but following the official confirmation, the club must now ensure that they get their next step right.

There’s not yet been any word on who could be coming into the club as a potential replacement for Wilson, or how exactly the Saints plan to move on from this.
His departure will come as a blow to the club and with the January window fast approaching, they must get a replacement appointed quickly.
There has been plenty of upheaval behind the scenes at Southampton of late, so the club must play their next card carefully or they risk further disruption.
Having worked closely with Ralph Hasenhuttl, nobody more so than the Saints boss will be hoping that this is resolved swiftly.
