Wolves midfielder Leander Dendoncker missed Belgium’s Euro 2020 qualifier against Kazakhstan on Tuesday due to an ongoing stomach problem, the Birmingham Mail report.
Dendoncker was also unavailable for Roberto Martinez’s side in the 9-0 win over San Marino on Thursday and now appears to be in a race against time to recover for the visit of Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side this weekend.
The 24-year-old has featured in every Premier League encounter so far this season and played an instrumental role in the remarkable 2-0 win over Manchester City prior to the international break.

So how big a miss could the midfielder be?

Nobody likes to celebrate injuries, but there’s no denying Dendocker’s possible absence could be huge for the Saints.
Southampton have been bullied in midfield on more than one occasion this season, so the Belgian’s availability could be crucial.

The versatile star has continued to impress in the Midlands after making his loan move from Anderlecht permanent over the summer, and his hard-hitting approach in a midfield three has been key to Nuno Espirito Santo’s sides success in recent weeks.
If he is absent, highly-rated youngster Morgan Gibbs-White could come in, however, he wouldn’t possess the no-nonsense approach Dendocker brings.
The midfield battle will more than likely be where the game is won and lost at Molineux, so Dendoncker’s continued absence for his country could spell trouble for Wolves.
