Many fans have taken to Twitter in response to Angus Gunn’s error’s against Chelsea on Sunday.
The Southampton keeper’s positioning for the Blues’ opening goal allowed Tammy Abraham to continue his excellent start to the season and produce a fine lobbed finish, despite Maya Yoshida’s best efforts to clear it off the line.
Gunn was again involved in Chelsea’s second, with his poor clearance allowing the Blues to win the ball back in Saints’ half, before Willian played Mason Mount through in the area, and the midfielder cooly slotted past the keeper.
And following his poor first half display, these fans took to Twitter to express their anger with Gunn.

Gunn certainly did not do himself any favours for the first goal in particular, as his rush out allowed Abraham the chance to loop his effort over him.
And while plenty could have been done in the build up to Chelsea’s second to thwart the attack, it was Gunn’s poor clearance that put his side under pressure.
Luckily for the Saints shot stopper, Chelsea’s defending at the other end was equally as poor at times, and allowed the home side a route back into the match.
