Danny Ings might be taking all the plaudits for Southampton’s big win at Fratton Park, but plenty of supporters have been hailing Jan Bednarek’s role in the victory.
The defender was brilliant for the visitors as they secured a memorable 4-0 win over their rivals.

Hasenhuttl’s men endured a bit of a shaky start at Fratton Park but that was quickly put to bed by a quality Saints performance.
Bednarek was among some of the better performers on the night, with the defender making a key clearance to deny Portsmouth.
The 23-year-old is growing into a key figure at the back and a memorable performance in the derby will only endear him to supporters even further.
