Sofiane Boufal has impressed following his return to the team, and it’s safe to say that plenty of Saints fans are delighted to see him back in the fold.
Since joining from Lille in 2016, Boufal failed to really impress on the south coast, only showing short moments of magic, scoring some wonderful goals over a couple of seasons.
However, the Moroccan wasn’t influential enough in a Southampton side that lacked attacking prowess at the time.
Boufal was sent out on loan to Celta Vigo last season, where he showed signs of improvement, but there was still plenty of work to be done.
Since returning to Saints, though, Ralph Hasenhuttl has revitalised one of the club’s most technically gifted players, and in his three appearances, his performances have been far more pleasing.

He is slowly but surely becoming a favourite among the Saints fans, and these supporters are delighted to see him fighting for his place…

READ SOUTHAMPTON VERDICT
Personally, I’m delighted to see Boufal back in the team, as he can provide a great attacking edge in the attack and cause havoc for defences.
He seems to be building good relationships with Moussa Djenepo and Nathan Redmond, and with that in mind, the Saints attack will be looking much stronger for the season ahead.
Hopefully, Boufal can continue to impress and give Hasenhuttl a welcome selection headache as the campaign progresses.
