Sevilla and Celta Vigo are the latest clubs to be linked with Mohamed Elyounoussi, and a loan move to Spain could suit him well.
According to claims from Norwegian news outlet VG, Turkish giants Besiktas have been joined by the La Liga duo in their interest in signing the winger from Southampton.
All three clubs have reportedly held negotiations with Elyounoussi’s representatives as they chase respective season-long loan deals for the player.

It is somewhat surprising to see such a degree of interest from clubs across Europe given how poor Elyounoussi’s debut campaign in the Premier League was. However, he did impress at FC Basel, and it seems some teams are willing to take a punt on him rediscovering his best form.

Sevilla could arguably do far better than to sign the Norway international, who is likely to be low on confidence after a dismal season in England. A move to Celta Vigo would also be a risk, largely as a consequence of the frequent managerial turnover and upheaval at the club.
Despite these concerns, though, Elyounoussi may benefit from spending time in Spain. Under less intense pressing mechanisms and with greater freedom in possession, he may be able to display his technical qualities.
Moving to Besiktas would also afford the 25-year-old the opportunity to revitalise himself. However, the prospect of playing his football in La Liga this term could be of temptation, given the prestige of the division in comparison to that of the Super Lig.
