Wantaway Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina would reportedly prefer a move to Manchester United over Arsenal this summer after being left out of Ralph Hasenhuttl’s pre-season squad.
The Gabon international looks certain to leave St. Mary’s Stadium after being excluded from Hasenhuttl’s plans and posted an interesting compilation video on Twitter this week to attract interest in his services.
According to the Daily Star, as cited by the Sport Review, Lemina is attracting heavyweight attention and has his heart set on a transfer to Old Trafford this summer, rather than joining his international compatriot Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at Arsenal.
The story adds that the Saints have indeed given Lemina permission to talk to United, but the Red Devils aren’t in a rush due to the lingering question mark over Paul Pogba’s future.
Lemina, 25, has netted just once in 49 Southampton appearances after joining on a club-record £15.4million deal from Juventus in 2017.
