Southampton have agreed a deal to sign Moussa Djenepo from Standard Liege this summer.
Sky Sports News report that the player is due to undergo a medical ahead of a move to the Saints.
It is claimed that the medical will take place in Paris as he prepares to complete the move.
The player will need to obtain a work permit, but the report claims that is expected to go through next week.
Djenepo now looks set to become Southampton’s first signing of the summer as Ralph Hasenhuttl aims to put his own stamp on the squad ahead of his first full season in charge.
The Liege winger had been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League and it now finally looks as if the Saints have made a breakthrough in negotiations.
Djenepo could be the first of many through the doors at St Mary’s ahead of what looks likely to be a busy summer for the Saints.
