Southampton would be open to a deal that would see Sam Gallagher join Blackburn Rovers on a permanent basis.
According to the Lancashire Telegraph, the Championship side are once again in the running to sign the striker.
A £5 million deal is being mooted, with Southampton considering whether or not to cash in on the player after a relatively successful season.
Blackburn are said to be in the market for a striker and Gallagher has been a long-term target for the club.

The striker’s wages are being suggested as a potential stumbling block for the second tier side, meaning the player may have to take a pay cut in order to make a move happen this summer.
Gallagher spent the 2016-17 season on loan at Blackburn and the club have clearly been keeping an eye on him ever since.
They did try to sign him earlier in the campaign, but he ended up joining Birmingham on loan.
