Southampton have reportedly joined Bournemouth, Tottenham and Crystal Palace in the race to sign highly-rated Leeds United attacker Jack Clarke.
The 18-year-old has been the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur ahead of this summer, and now it seems like other Premier League clubs are following suit.
According to Football Insider, Leeds are braced for offers after failing to gain promotion from the Championship and value the 18-year-old at £10million.
The Saints are set to make an opening offer for Clarke, with Bournemouth and Palace likely to do the same.
A tricky winger with bags of pace, Clarke has burst onto the first-team scene at Elland Road this term, making 25 appearances.
After signing his first professional contract with Leeds at the age of 17, he’s one of the lowest paid stars in Marcelo Bielsa’s squad and contract negotiations are thought to have stalled.
£10million appears to be great value for a promising English player and it’d be a coup if Ralph Hasenhuttl adds him to his squad ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.
