Southampton slipped to a heavy 3-0 defeat today against West Ham United at the London Stadium.
Goals from Marko Arnautovic and Ryan Fredericks gave the Hammers the win, with the Saints unable to cope with the West Ham attack.
The talking point before the game was the decision to start long time absentee Fraser Forster in the Southampton net.
Forster has been out of the Saints lineup for over a year, but was given a rare chance to start by Southampton manager Ralph Hassenhuttl in East London today.
Arnautovic’s goals were his first since January, with the Austrian going on a lengthy goal drought before facing Southampton today.
He opened the scoring in the first half, before doubling it in the second with a simple header to make the Hammers’ lead a comfortable one.
Ryan Fredericks would score his first Premier League goal later in the game.
Here’s how we rated the Saints after the defeat in the capital.
