Southampton secured Premier League survival after a thrilling 3-3 draw at home to Bournemouth.
Saints opened the scoring after 12 minutes when Nathan Redmond found Shane Long, whose side-footed effort took a slight deflection to find the back of the net.
Bournemouth responded 8 minutes later when they hit Southampton on the counter attack and Dan Gosling fired past Angus Gunn.
The Cherries completed the first turnaround of the match through Callum Wilson, who reacted quickly to Gunn spilling a David Brooks piledriver.
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side levelled up the score 10 minutes after the break thanks to a brilliant strike from James Ward-Prowse from the edge of the box, with his weaker left foot.
The second turnaround was completed when substitute Matt Targett headed in a superb Yan Valery cross to put Saints back in front.
Bournemouth then equalised again five minutes from time after Stuart Armstrong was caught in possession, which led to Ryan Fraser finding Wilson in the box to divert home.
This point coupled with Cardiff’s defeat to Fulham leaves Saints seven points clear of the drop with only six more points to play for.
