Southampton have ‘concrete interest’ in signing Rangers star Scott Arfield, according to a report in the Mail.
The 30-year-old only moved to Ibrox last summer and has played 42 times for Steven Gerrard’s men.
He’s scored 11 goals in that time, including his first professional hat-trick in the recent 3–0 win over Motherwell.

Whilst it’s unclear if Ralph Hasenhuttl would be keen to bring in a 30-year-old player, Southampton do have a history of signing players from Scotland and the Mail are firm in their belief that the interest in Arfield is genuine and ‘concrete’
Arfield signed a four-year contract when he made the switch from Burnley to Rangers so the Scottish side will be in no desperate need to sell, so Saints, if the report is true, will need to pay a decent fee for the Canadian international, who qualifies to play for the Canadian national team as his father was born in Toronto.
