Tottenham Hotspur could be boosted by the return of Dele Alli for the trip to the St Mary’s Stadium tomorrow, according to a report on HITC.
The attacking midfielder has been out of action since picking up a hamstring injury in the away victory over Fulham in January.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has hinted that Alli could be back in the first-team squad for tomorrow’s clash, which isn’t good news for relegation-threatened Southampton.
When speaking about Alli, Pochettino said:
Yes, that’s good news to be available. We need to wait tomorrow for the last training.
But in all aspects doing so well and hope he’s going to be available and maybe can play on Saturday.
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men come into the game after narrowly losing at Old Trafford against Manchester United, but he will be hoping for a similar display tomorrow.
The Saints are currently two points away from the relegation zone, whilst Spurs are looking to secure their place in the top four.
