On this day in 2017, Southampton played in the League Cup final, where they were very unlucky to lose 3-2 to Manchester United.
Under the stewardship of manager Claude Puel, Saints had an amazing run to the final and with a bit more luck (and maybe a better linesman!), they could have lifted the trophy aloft.
