Southampton looked to pull away from the relegation zone with a win at home against fellow relegation candidates Crystal Palace.
Ryan Bertrand continued his road to recovery, meaning Matt Targett kept his place in the side as Ralph Hasenhuttl named an unchanged team from the win over Everton last time out.
Wins for Newcastle and Fulham put the pressure on both sides to go out and take all three points, while Burnley also earned a point away at Manchester United. Saints found themselves in 17th place before kick off, but a win would propel them up to 14th and just a point of fellow south coast side Brighton & Hove Albion.
The two sides played out a 1-1 draw with Zaha and James Ward-Prowse getting the goals, the former getting sent off late on. Both sides take away a point and pull further away from the relegation places. Here is how we rated the Southampton side.
